About the Associate Degree in Business Studies
- Can't afford a Bachelor Degree, or you don't have three years to spare? Start with the Associate Degree in Business Studies and enrol in a Bachelor Degree (with credit) later.
- The Associate Degree in Business Studies is a two-year degree that's a pathway into the third year of the Bachelor of Business, the Bachelor of Business Studies, and the Bachelor of Information Technology.
- It also provides excellent grounding in business and computing in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry and is a great way to improve your chances of employment in these areas.
Course outcomes
- On completion of the Associate Degree in Business Studies you can go straight to third year of the Bachelor of Business, the Bachelor of Business Studies, and the Bachelor of Information Technology. Business graduates often find emploment in marketing, accounting and management. IT graduates are highly employable and pursue careers in software development, games, business analysis and ICT consulting.

Course structure
In order to be awarded the Associate Degree in Business Studies from CSU students are required to complete:
- 16 standard subjects or their equivalent (where a standard subject is equal to 8 points);
- at least half of the 16 standard subjects by taking subjects taught by CSU or subjects designated as "CSU subjects" (i.e. those offered under affiliation agreements between CSU and external organisations).
Students entering the Bachelor of Business, the Bachelor of Business Studies, and the Bachelor of Information Technology after successfully completing the Associate Degree will graduate at the same time as those entering the bachelor program directly.
