About the Diploma of Business

  • Can't afford a Bachelor Degree? Start with the Diploma of Business and do your bachelors later.
  • The Diploma of Business is a one-year qualification that's a pathway into the second year of the Associate Degree of Business Studies as well as the second year of Bachelor of Business Studies, Bachelor of Business (with specialisations) and the Bachelor of Information Technology.
  • Choose a course structure and specialise in the areas of Business or Information Technology and make yourself more employable.

Course outcomes

  • On completion of the Diploma of Business you can go straight into the second year of the Associate Degree of Business Studies as well as the second year of Bachelor of Business Studies, Bachelor of Business (with specialisations) and the Bachelor of Information Technology. Business graduates often find emploment in marketing, accounting and management. IT graduates are highly employable and often pursue careers in software development, games, business analysis and ICT consulting.
  • Depending on the area of major study undertaken, graduates of the Diploma of Business will be attractive to employers in areas of business analysis, marketing, management, accounting, Information Technology and systems analysis.
  • The Diploma of Business will equip you to:
    - demonstrate knowledge and understand a range of business concepts
    - analyse and plan approaches to a range of business situations
    - appreciate the significance of ethical planning within business

Specialise in Business or Information Technology.

  1. Complete the 6 core subjects.
  2. Choose 1 elective group (consisting of 2 electives) relevant to your area of specialisation.
  3. Graduate; or go straight to second year of the Associate Degree of Business Studies, the Bachelor of Business Studies, Bachelor of Business (with specialisations) or the Bachelor of IT.
