The Brisbane (Charlotte St) Study Centre was launched on Tuesday 23rd August and was officially opened by Grace Grace, Minister for Employment and Industrial Relations (Queensland government).
Preceding the ceremonial ribbon cutting, Minister Grace addressed the gathering by welcoming the addition of CSU Study Centre to the list of tertiary educational providers in Brisbane. ''International students need a great education and we know they will get that at the CSU Study Centre" she remarked.
The event was also attended by CSU (Prof Heather Cavanagh, PVC International and Prof Tracey Green, Dean, Faculty of Business, Justice and Behavioral Studies); and representing Study Group: Warren Jacobson (Managing Director) , Monica Kennedy (Executive Director, University Partnerships) , David Knight (CSU Director), Brisbane staff (Sharelle Simmons and Jenni-Renni-Sia) and most importantly, the inaugural CSU student cohort on Brisbane. It was wonderful to hear from 3 of our first cohort of students at the Brisbane centre. Each of them spoke to an audience of fellow students, parents, teachers, special guests and Study Group staff, to tell their personal stories, hopes and aspirations for the future.
