CSU Sydney students awarded at prestigious gala event

The annual CSU Study Centre Sydney gala dinner, held on 19 September at the Macquarie Hotel in Sydney celebrated the best and brightest of our community.

Hosted by David Knight, Director of CSU Study Centres Sydney, the event is an opportunity to formally recognise the successes and achievements of graduates, alumni, and new and continuing students. Alongside students, guests included CSU representatives and lecturers at CSU Study Centre in Sydney.

Numerous prizes were awarded throughout the evening to staff and students who have achieved exceptional results, including for academic achievement and outstanding research. At this year’s ceremony, over 150 of CSU Study Centre Sydney’s talented community were recognised for their hard work over the last academic year.

At the event, David Knight said: “This year marks yet another great number of accomplishments by our recipients. These awards not only recognise our academically talented students, but prove that the CSU Study Centres attract and retain academically gifted students.”

As well as the award presentations, attendees enjoyed a three-course dinner, live music and dance performances from our students. The evening was rounded off with a performance of a traditional Aboriginal Kangaroo Dance.
