Our Orientation Program will help you adapt to living and studying in Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for you to make friends and prepare for the semester ahead.
You will need to report to the Charles Sturt University (CSU) Study Centre reception at 8:45 am on the first day of your course for orientation.
Your photo will also be taken on this day for your student identity card. Please remember to bring your passport for orientation as this will ensure the registration process runs smoothly.
During orientation program you need to ensure your enrolment details and personal details are correct. You will receive all necessary information required during your study at a CSU Study Centre.
The program includes workshops on library orientation, accessing computer laboratories, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), visa requirements, accommodation options and other support services. Your course Timetable will also be provided to you during the orientation week.
You have an option of attending the Referencing and Writing workshops organised by the Student Coordinators.
You will be informed about CSU’s online learning environment called ‘my.csu’. This is a personalised area of the CSU website, which provides links to online services and facilities such as email, personal details, enrolled subjects, forums, student services information, online library and exam results.
You will be introduced to your Course Coordinators who will help you enrol into the specific subjects and assist you with academic counselling and study support wherever necessary.
You will meet with the Student Services staff who will provide you personal guidance on information regarding health insurance and other support services if required.
You will be informed about your rights and responsibilities while studying at the CSU Study Centres:
