Brisbane Airport Visitor Information Desk

In order to help you find your way to your accommodation, Study Brisbane has two Visitor Information Stands in the domestic and International Airport to assist you!

Every day of the year, the team wearing distinctive royal blue shirts embroidered with “Airport Ambassador” can be found at Brisbane Airport, providing free assistance and information to passengers and visitors about airport services and ground transport. 

Brisbane Airport ambassadors can also help students with:

  • Looking for accommodation, car hire, attractions and information about all regions in Queensland.
  • The latest tourism information via the internet and maps and brochures, promoting local and regional attractions, hotels, ground transport.

Getting Out of Brisbane Airport

Public transports in Brisbane, Australia.

AirTrain

Airtrain offers convenient services between the Airport, Brisbane City and the Gold Coast, as well as transfers between the Domestic and International Terminals.

Airtrain departs every 15 minutes during peak hours and runs between the following times:

  • Weekdays: 5.04am - 10:04pm
  • Weekends: 6:04am - 10:04pm

Airtrain also offers transfers between the Domestic and International Terminals for $5 per person.

Other rates apply for Airtrain services to other destinations. Kids aged 5-14 travel free between the Airport and City stations when accompanied by a paying adult (Terms and Conditions apply - see Airtrain website).

Taxis

Taxi ranks are conveniently located at both the International and Domestic Terminals.

  • At the Domestic Terminal, the taxi rank is located centrally in front of the terminal.
  • At the International Terminal, the taxi rank is located at the northern end of Arrivals on Level 2.

Public Transport in Brisbane

TRANSLink QLD is the single contact point for customers wanting information on public transport services, fares and tickets. To get around in Brisbane you must first purchase a GO Card, which can be used for public transport. This includes trains, buses and ferries. You can purchase a GO card from selected retailers and Queensland Rail stations, online or over the phone, and top up your card balance like a prepaid mobile phone whenever it suits you.
