Both Study Centres have Course Coordinators and a Student Welfare Coordinator who are available to assist you with a variety of academic and personal problems.
The Course Coordinators monitor your academic progress and assist you wherever necessary.
You will receive free timetabled tutorials for every subject.
Undergraduate sessions are usually 4 hours, includes 2 hours of lectures/seminar and 2 hours of tutorials.
Postgraduate sessions vary as 8 credit point subjects’ sessions are normally 2 to 3hours of lectures/seminars and 1 hour of tutorial. Extra hours are allocated for 16 credit point subjects. Also extra tutorials are added as required for more difficult subjects to support the student learning.
The Course Coordinators will provide you with consultation and review of course planning, academic progress and other academic related issues. Your attendance will be monitored on a regular basis.
The Course Coordinators are available for personal counselling however a specialist counsellor is on campus to help with any complex personal issues. We also provide Study Skills Support workshops and consultation session from a specialist.
Web-enhanced learning – Many subjects enable email communication with the lecturer and have forums associated with the subject.
You will have access to a CSU portal that provides a range of information including library and other information systems, study support documentation, enrolment details, transcripts, etc. So, you can benefit from online services.
CSU is developing a new system called CSU Interact which will be available from next year, which will further support the online learning activity.
