Start studying online and finish on campus
We‘re here to help you kick start your future with Face-to-Face Virtual (F2FV) for all new students starting in July 2020.
Rather than put your plans on hold, we will support you to start studying online with our blended learning approach, before you transition to completing your degree in-centre, in Australia, when borders re-open and we feel it’s safe to recommence face-to-face teaching.
Charles Sturt University is Australia’s number one online university of choice. More students choose to study online with Charles Sturt University than any other university in Australia (Department of Education, Skills and Employment Higher Education Statistics), so when it comes to studying online we can support you every step of the way.
What is Face-to-Face Virtual?
Our F2FV teaching has been developed with you in mind, to ensure you have all the support and guidance you need. Our F2FV classes are scheduled in the afternoons and evenings to suit a wider range of time zones so you can join us live.
You can also take part in online careers and wellbeing workshops and social events, including virtual karaoke and quiz nights – making sure you stay connected until you arrive in Australia.
Welcoming you to a safe Australia
Australia is working tirelessly to minimise the impact and spread of COVID-19, with great progress already made. We are confident that we will be able to welcome you to our sunny shores very shortly.
As we bounce back, we see a high demand for IT specialists and business professionals. We also want to reassure you that at present in Australia you are eligible to apply for post-study work rights after completing up to a third of a two-year course online. No further information has been released by the government around post-study work rights, but we will provide updates should the situation change. Visit immi.homeaffairs.gov.au for the most current information.
Introductory period to try online with confidence
We know that the virtual classroom may not suit everybody, so we’re pleased to let you try face-to-face virtual blended learning until 9 August 2020. If you choose not to continue your studies online you can either choose to defer your place to a future intake or withdraw and get a full refund. If you choose to withdraw after 9 August 2020, our usual cancellation policy applies. Read more about this policy.
We’ll also help you manage your course load in session one, which will now start on 20 July 2020, by allowing you to enrol in one to four classes. This means you’ll only have to pay for what you enrol in when you confirm your offer.
If, when the time comes to move to Australia to continue your studies in person, you are unable to receive a visa, depending on the circumstance, we will provide you with a full refund and support you to continue your education or find alternatives. Check our FAQs page for more information.
Scholarship and bursaries available with an upfront discount to course fees
We have a number of bursary and scholarships available, ranging from AUD $4000 to $10,500, which you may be eligible for and will result in an upfront discount to your course fees. Speak with your local representative to find out more.
