Introducing TWO new courses to the Charles Sturt University Study Centres
Charles Sturt University Study Centres is excited to announce the launch of two new courses for the March 2021 intake. We welcome a Master of Project Management and Leadership and the Diploma of Information Technology (IT) into the portfolio of degrees currently on offer at the Study Centres.
The Master of Project Management and Leadership
The long awaited Master of Project Management and Leadership has been developed based on market feedback, with demand high for a leadership program that takes into account project management for engineering, IT and other technical industries.
During this two-year program, students will study a total of 12 management and leadership subjects. Each topic has been carefully curated to prepare students to successfully design and deliver complete project solutions and manage individuals and teams.
The course combines soft skills in people management, leadership and communication with technical skills in project management, such as financial management, quality control and information technology.
The Diploma of Information Technology
The Diploma of Information Technology is designed to provide a pathway into year two of the Bachelor of Information Technology for students who did not meet the academic and English language criteria of the Bachelor program.
The Diploma of IT is comprised of six first-year Bachelor of IT subjects and a newly-designed learning and development subject entitled ‘Learning for Success’. This subject is an introduction to fundamental study skills, and aims to develop a critical understanding of, and confidence in, the application of the English language to prepare international students for the rigors of study at the higher education level.
Upon successful completion of the Diploma of IT students will graduate with a broad understanding of the principles of IT, developing specialist skills needed for a career in IT. Students will then go onto year two of the Bachelor of IT with up to six subject credits, giving them the ability to graduate with their peers within three years.
Both the Master of Project Management and Leadership, along with the Diploma of Information Technology, will be available for study at Charles Sturt University Study Centres in Melbourne and Sydney.
