Students recognised for excellence at 10th anniversary gala dinner
Charles Sturt University Study Centre Melbourne students celebrated another year of success at the 10th annual student gala. Held at The Luxor Function Centre in Melbourne, over 500 awards were presented to students by the University for their academic achievements over the past year.
Hosted by Ali Syed, the Academic Director of Charles Sturt University Study Centre Melbourne, the awards are an opportunity for the University community to come together and celebrate the hard work of our students. Alongside current students and alumni, guests included faculty heads, teachers and university leaders from the Centres in Bathurst, Melbourne, Sydney and Wagga Wagga.
Accolades awarded on the night included 450 Academic Achievement Awards, recognising students who achieved a grade point average of 6.0 or higher. There were also 77 winners of the Dean’s Award for students who achieved distinction or higher in all their subjects.
As well as a red carpet reception and dinner, attendees experienced a full night of entertainment, including music and dance from China, India and Sri Lanka performed by our talented students and staff. There was also a live magic show and fire dance by local artists to conclude the night.
The Gala awards is a reflection of the talented students that study at Charles Sturt University Study Centres, as well as the high standard of teaching and learning that attracts exceptional students.
