Country specific academic equivalents

You'll need an Australian bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent bachelor’s degree from another country, to enrol on one of our postgraduate courses.

For more information on specific entry requirements for individual courses, enquire online to speak to one of our Student Enrolment Advisers.

Applications Based on Work Experience

If you're applying for a course on the basis of previous work experience, you'll need to include the following evidence:

  • Your CV showing the relevant work experience
  • Employment references.

Credit Towards Your Degree

If you’re applying for credit towards your degree (also known as ‘advanced standing’), you should mention this on your application form when you apply for your course. You’ll need to provide the following evidence to support your application for credit:

  • Your academic transcript
  • A description of the grading system
  • A description of all the subjects you completed, taken from the awarding institution's official handbook for that calendar year.

We’ll let you know whether your application for credit (advanced standing) has been approved once we’ve completed the assessment.

Credit Average

The term ‘credit average’ means a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5 or greater.

GPA scores for grades:

  • Fail 0
  • Pass 4
  • Credit 5
  • Distinction 6
  • High Distinction 7

If you've received credit for a subject, or you've been allowed to withdraw from a subject, it won't count towards your credit average.
