The 2015 CSU Study Centre Sydney Gala was hosted at the Menzies Hotel on the 29th of September in recognition of the outstanding academic achievements of our students.
In attendance were over 150 guests; including Mark Frost (Head, School of Management and Marketing, CSU), Michael Kemp (Acting Head, School of Computing and Mathematics, CSU). Deirdre Keogh, (Associate Head, School of Accounting and Finance, CSU), Robert Scully (CSU Partnerships Team), Warren Jacobson (Managing Director, Study Group, Australasia), Elizabeth Lovell (Operations Director, Study Group Australasia) and David Knight (Director, CSU Study Centres.
66 of our CSU alumni and staff were recognised for their outstanding achievements and received the following prestigious awards:
- 31 Executive Dean’s Awards, CSU’s highest honour
- 40 Academic Achievement Awards
- 3 Academic Merit Awards
- School of Computing and Mathematics Award/
- 6 Lecturer Awards for Excellence in Teaching
- Inaugural Peter Smith Award
The impressive range of countries which were represented on the evening demonstrates the diversity of our student cohort. The event also included traditional dancing from our talented Sri Lankan students, staff, and a student dance troupe choreographed by Kim Gosper from ACPE. The successful stories shared at the Gala reflect the supportive environment that CSU Study Centres provide to our students in all aspects of their educational experience.
